Gallant at 24 years, has in a short space of time progressed from obscurity to being hailed by Sir Elton John with the simple statement – “he’s going to be huge”. Performing with the man himself at the recent Apple Festival in London, Gallant is ready to carve his own destiny.
Inevitably with his stunning falsetto range, Gallant is frequently spoken of in the same breath as names like Frank Ocean and Weeknd, yet brings a fresh and more introspective renannissence R&B. Gallant’s collaboration with the beautifully serene Jhené Aiko with ‘Skipping Stones,’ was one of the clear standouts off his acclaimed debut album ‘Ology‘.
Now receiving a visual treatment courtesy of a American Millennial, the Adrian Younge produced track is destined for bigger things. With a darker undertone to the visual, watch for the twist in the tighly framed video which unfolds as the camera revolves around Jhene in a car and Gallant in a pretty compromising position.
