The final trailer is here, its official the force has awoken and it’s causing sites to crash with all the fan fervour to get those advance tickets in the bag. How many times have you played that trailer already?
Not a prequel this time but a sequel directed by JJ Abrams, the film as its impossible not to know, stars the original cast Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, making this is probably the biggest event of the year if not in Star Wars recent history – current predictions stand at a $615M worldwide opening.
The casting of John Boyega has unfortunately unleashed the dark side of some trolls who’ve taken to Twitter in an attempted boycott of the film and all we have to say is – great stay the fuck away. John Boyega is one of two British cast members who includes another newcomer Daisy Ridley and a supporting cast that includes Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o and Adam Driver, along with returning original cast members.
Still we’re not the much wiser about the plotline, the trailer has managed to keep the anticipation at fever pitch and fans still guessing. Alongside the trailer, the official poster was also been unveiled – get ready for merch season all through Christmas.
The film is released in the UK on 17 December a day ahead of the U.S opening on 18 December.
