Fresh off featuring in Burberry’s latest ‘Here We Are’ exhibition in London, acclaimed British photographer Charlie Phillips joined the team at Bright Rooms for the launch of their studio installation at PIAF 2017. Bright Rooms studio celebrate the rich history of studio portraiture, playing host to guest portrait photographers throughout PIAF at Copeland Park in Peckham.

From the Victorian model through to the seminal work out of Africa in the 60’s & 70’s, this timeless and intimate discourse between photographer and sitter, is so highly valued now as it is captivating.
For their launch night at PIAF, Bright Rooms invited Charlie Phillips the Jamaican-born photographer who’s images documenting people and places associated with Notting Hill were published in ‘Notting Hill in the Sixties’ (1991). Phillips’s work has been exhibited internationally, including Tate Britain and the V&A.
The Bright Rooms Studio at #PIAF is open to all and resident photographers will be announced daily. PIAF takes place between Saturday 30 September to Thursday 5 October between 12:00 – 19:00 at Copeland Park & Bussey Building, 133 Copeland Road, London SE15 3SN
