North London’s own LEVi announces his arrival with big bass anthem ‘Gwan Suh’.
Produced by Raf Riley, LEVi brings voluminous bass in this expansive Dancehall debut. It’s unapologetic underground sound unwinds in a groove that promises to keep you warm through the coming winter months.
“Coming from more a rap background musically Gwan Suh was one of the first songs I wrote from the approach of a singer and a songwriter.” LEVi said of the track, “I had the idea of merging my UK influenced sound with my Jamaican roots in a way unique to me. So I shared this vibe with my producer on this one – Raf Riley – and we began cooking.”
Eagle-eyed and counting his blessings, you can almost smell the Red Stripe in that sweatbox rave – LEVi starts as he means to go on with a track that was made for a rib rattling soundsystem. His fusion of heavyweight Dub, Dancehall and a UK state of mind marks LEVi out the fresh voice we didn’t know we were missing.
