Kojey Radical Announces UK Tour Alongside ‘Water’ Visual

Already revered for his aesthetic and the depth of each narrative, Kojey Radical returns to the spotlight in the brand new nine minute short for ‘Water’.

An emotive audio-visual blend of style and commentary, Kojey Radical has never backed down from shining a light on the imperial history of the British Isles – as well as the U.S – and the pervasive, stereotypical ideologies that linger in it’s place. With an opening narrated by ‘In God’s Body’ collaborator and friend, Michaela Coel, Kojey Radical closes the loop bringing his story full circle “This visual represents a lot of things for us. It’s the first visual I’m releasing this year and it’s always been our aim to push the boundaries of our creativity.” Radical explains, “I was luckily enough to be raised by a family of strong females – Craig, my director, also – and we wanted to make a visual that was heavy on representation not only just for women but also to create and elaborate on conversations on black masculinity.”

Directed by MosPopularHuman, produced by Swindle and effortlessly embellished by Mahalia, ‘Water’ is the product of a future facing vision from the bold and ever evolving mouth of Kojey Radical; who will always take the time to scrutinise the layers between us all. “how we connect and understand each other as genders. For is, an untold story is easily one of the biggest burdens one can carry and we really want to use our creative voices to tell as many stories as possible. I hope people find their own meaning within this visual. Not one dictated by me. And ultimately I hope that you enjoy it.
