Jammz Shows Us ‘It’s A London Thing’

Coming from the class of 2014, Jammz has been putting in the practice hours at almost every radio station that plays Grime music. Since the release of his last project with DJ Jack Dat ‘Underdog Season‘, he’s been hinting at a new EP.

So after a teaser on social media, Jammz released his new thing, ‘It’s A London Thing’ and fans of the garage scene will immediately recognise the sample of the hit of the same name by Scott Garcia Feat MC Styles.

Corporations move poor people out their homes and claim they’re fixing the ends / and apart from pushing up all the rent prices, your Starbucks ain’t doing shit for the ends – Jammz

Paying homage to the sound that came before Grime, Jammz uses it to inspire the production on top of a bass heavy skippy beat while spitting his own interpretation of hood commentary. Rap legend Chuck D once said “Rap is like CNN for black people” and Jammz is using his talents in Grime music to speak on some home truths currently affecting ’the endz’ of this great city that we live in.

They must know that we ain’t rich but there’s still bare Williams Hills in the ends / So f*** these conservative leaders ‘cause not one of them care for the kids in the ends – Jammz

The video which Jammz also directed, shows different versions of a similar story with different outcomes based on certain decisions. It’s A London Thing’ is the lead single from his forthcoming EP ‘Warrior’ and he’s marked the event, with a massive billboard in his hometown of Hackney on the Bethnal Green Road. Spot the competition he’s set up for his supporters and get down to the endz.

Jammz new EP Warriors will be available everywhere on November 3rd.
