As we’ve come to expect from Frank Gamble, you never really know what to expect when it comes to their music but that’s precisely the beauty of this duo. Finally ready to come out of the shadows, or rather in their case, ready to shed their scarf, Frank Gamble have dropped their debut visual for ‘J’Adore’ and yes we adore it.
Featuring Abra Cadabra, ‘J’Adore’ was premiered by DJ Target last night and is a dose from Frank Gamble’s forthcoming 5-track EP ‘Myths’. Co-produced by New Machine, the dreamy ‘J’adore’, features Abra Cadabra with a verse that won’t have you complaining about his smoother side – it’s stubbornly good.
Frank Gamble are vocalist, songwriter/musician Hannah Yadi aka YADi and South London producer Justin Tailor aka Hoost. Their duality of style and sound merges into a colourful pairing that blends beautifully in their new visual – “J’adore is about an abuse of power. An abuse of trust. About being duped by someone who was meant to care for you but who instead took advantage of your innocence. It’s about trying to rebuild your life and trust in people after a bad experience and not letting yourself fall back into similarly painful patterns, behaviours and relationships. And battling with the idea that you have to do it alone…”
Frank Gamble will be playing live this Thursday 11th May at London’s The Scotch of St James ahead of an appearance supporting Alma at Oslo in Hackney on Tuesday 16th May and The Great Escape in Brighton on May 20th.
The ‘Myths’ EP is out in June.
