Everyone knows that as a city, Manchester’s relationship to and history with UK music as a whole runs deep and has done for decades. So it’s no surprise that a new gen of Mancunian natives – Dane X E-Thrilla – are making themselves known through their combined love of sound and style
Taken from their upcoming joint EP ‘The Clouds Above Forever’ (released Dec 10, and available for pre-order here) Dane X E-Thrilla take on the role of tour guide in their new ‘Hot Stuff’ visual. Having pulled together four homegrown fashion labels, they set about showing off the talent at their disposal with a fashion show.
Directed by KC Locke – one of the most recognisable names out of Manchester at present thanks to his regular collaborations with with IAMDDB and Sleazy F – ‘Hot Stuff’ is dripping in the kind of effortlessly cool, understated swagger that many claim left London streets years ago.
“If I could describe this project in any way, it’d be to say it’s a voyage through space.” Dane says of their upcoming EP release, “Sonically it’s other wordly, almost in another dimension. Because of that we subconsciously chose topics and approached them differently.” No strangers to swirling synths and unafraid to take new risks Dane X E-Thrilla are out to take 2018.
