AJ Tracey Drops New Track ‘Leave Me Alone’

If you’ve been listening to Grime radio sets in the last 18 months, you’ve definitely heard a bunch of nang MCs that have been making regular appearances and transferred their skills on the mic into making songs. AJ Tracey has been making this transition for a while now. With projects like ‘The Front’ & ‘Alex Moran’, AJ Tracey is now moving seamlessly between the radio and commercial music world.

His new single ‘Leave Me Alone’ is fitting for the artist. Playing on a running joke on social media referring to the difficulty some people experience trying to contact the MC, AJ Tracey sprays bars to show that he’s working on his art and trying to depart from his old life. His lyrics describes intention to leave the madness in the streets and build a career in music to enjoy the spoils.

Right now I’m in my zone /mashing up shows / I ain’t even tryna’ do road

The production is multi-layered and full of energy. This is not surprising from producer Nyge as he’s already given us hits such as ‘Lock Arff’ by Section Boyz. AJ uses his signature flows which pairs well with this beat. Laced with local slang and accompanied with a video directed by J Mornix shot in his endz with the mandem, I can presume it will find it’s way into DJ set lists quickly.

You can buy the single on iTunes and stream it on Spotify or Apple Music
